What is the Difference between Standard Oil and Synthetic Oil?

This question is a good example of why you should always trust a pro to change your motorcycle’s oil. You want to make sure your motorcycle is using the right type of oil. Standard oil is oil that comes from petroleum. This type of oil is less expensive and ideal for use in newer motorcycles that haven’t yet reached 5,000 miles, whose owners are still “breaking them in” Synthetic oil is a combination of fluids designed to reduce friction and engine wear and to last much longer than standard oil.
